A celebration with more than one faith

Shared planning creates a ceremony legible and meaningful to everyone present.

Interfaith weddings represent some of the most moving, creative ceremonies in modern life. Rather than watering down traditions to a lowest common denominator, interfaith ceremonies celebrate the distinct beauty of each heritage.

Work with officiants who specialize in interfaith unions. You might combine a traditional Hindu Seven Steps (Saptapadi) around the sacred fire with Christian scripture readings, or blend Jewish Seven Blessings (Sheva Brachot) with indigenous water ceremonies.

When both families see their spiritual heritage honored with dignity, the ceremony becomes a powerful symbol of reconciliation, love, and community.

Your next step

Host a joint conversation with both families to outline the sacred elements of each tradition.
